Kandy is a major city in Sri Lanka, located in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka.The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.

Getting to visit the Batik factory in Kandy and see up close how the famous batik clothes are made. After spending some time there the next stop will be the Gem Museum in Kandy. The Gem museum specialized mostly on Sapphire. And after finishing the tour of the Gem Museum you will get to visit the Wood Carving Factory in Kandy and see how they work on each piece. Next stop is the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya in the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka and attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 4000 species of plants, including of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
After visiting the Botanical Gardens you will get to see the traditional Kandyan Dance.
