Sigiriya (Lion Rock) is an ancient palace built by King Kasyapa (477 - 485 CE) on top of a rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning.
Kandy is a major city located in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world.

First visit willl be Sigiriya the Rock Fortress, and get the chance to see the sunset from the summit of Sigiriya the Rock Fortress, it will be a great opportunity to take some great photos and enjoy the view. The ruins of the capital built by the parricidal King Kassapa I (477–95) lie on the steep slopes and at the summit of a granite peak standing some 180m high (the 'Lion's Rock', which dominates the jungle from all sides). A series of galleries and staircases emerging from the mouth of a gigantic lion constructed of bricks and plaster provide access to the site.Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning and is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka.

Have an early Dinner in preparation to visit the Kandy Esala Perahera (the Festival of the Tooth) where you will be mesmerized by the festival.
Get to see the breathtaking Esala Perahera (the festival of the tooth) which is the grand festival of Esala held in Sri Lanka. It is very grand with elegant costumes. It is a Buddhist festival consisting of dances and colourfully decorated elephants. There are fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandyan dances and various other cultural dances. The elephants are usually adorned with lavish garments. The festival ends with the traditional 'diya-kepeema'
Lets enjoy the morning by visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya in the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka which attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 4000 species of plants, including of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
