9 Night 10 Day Tour

Daphne tours present you a sun, nature & culture 10 day tour starting from the down south. We do boat safaris, relax in the beautiful beaches and then to Galle to visit the Dutch fort and a turtle hatchery. We then move to Udawalawe, on a safari to watch elephants and other wild animals in the national park. Along the way we watch beautiful waterfalls in the hill country. 
 
We take the picturesque train to Ella and visit the Nine Arches Bridge. We then move in to hill Capital Kandy watch traditional dances and visit a tea estate. We finally climb the famous Sigiriya rock, taste the traditional Sri Lanka village, . 
 
  • Day 01 – Colombo Airport – Negombo
    We pick you from the Airport and drop you to the hotel in Negombo to relax.
  • Madu River Boat Safari
    Glide through the tranquil waters of the Madu River, surrounded by lush mangroves and rich biodiversity. As you cruise, keep an eye out for colorful birds, water monitors, and even crocodiles that call this ecosystem home. The boat ride takes you past tiny islands, each with its own unique charm and history.
    Galle Fort and Dutch Church
    Step back in time as you wander through the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, a 17th-century colonial masterpiece built by the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch. Explore its cobbled streets, historic ramparts, charming cafés, and boutique shops, while soaking in the stunning coastal views. Visit the Galle Dutch Church, one of the oldest Protestant churches in Sri Lanka, featuring Dutch tombstones and antique wooden pews.
    Turtles Hatchery
    Visit a sea turtle conservation center, where you’ll see earn about the stunning species of turtles found in Sri Lanka’s waters and also about efforts to protect and rehabilitate endangered sea turtles. Get a chance to see baby turtles ready to be released into the ocean and gain insight into how these hatcheries contribute to marine conservation.
    Mirissa Beach
    Conclude your journey at Mirissa Beach, known for its golden sands, swaying palm trees, and crystal-clear waters. Swim, sunbathe, surf or simply relax by the shore, enjoying the laid-back tropical atmosphere. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also explore nearby Parrot Rock for a breathtaking ocean view.
  • Whale Watching
    Set sail on an unforgettable boat trip into the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean, where you’ll have the chance to spot magnificent marine creatures. Keep an eye out for blue whales, sperm whales, and playful pods of dolphins as they swim alongside the boat. The experience of seeing these majestic animals in their natural habitat is truly breathtaking.
    Cooking Class
    After your ocean adventure, take part in a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Sri Lankan dishes using fresh, local ingredients.   • Udawalawe National Park
    End the day with an exciting wildlife safari at Udawalawe National Park, home to hundreds of wild elephants, deer, water buffalo, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Hop into a 4x4 safari jeep and explore the vast grasslands and open plains, where you’ll have fantastic opportunities to spot wildlife up close.
    Diyaluma Waterfall
    Visit Sri Lanka’s second-highest waterfall, a stunning 220-meter cascade surrounded by lush greenery. Take a short hike to the upper falls, where you can relax in natural infinity pools while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
    Visit Rawana Falls

Stroll around Gregory Lake, admire the vibrant flower gardens, and explore landmarks like the Queen’s Cottage, Post Office, and Victoria Park. You’ll also have time to warm up with a cup of Nuwara Eliya’s finest tea.
  • Visit Damro Tea Garden and Tea Factory – on the way to Kandy
    Experience Sri Lanka’s world-famous Ceylon tea at Damro Tea Garden, one of the country’s oldest and most renowned tea estates. Walk through endless rows of tea bushes, watch the tea-plucking process, and visit the Damro Tea Factory to see how the finest Ceylon tea is produced. Conclude the visit with a complimentary cup of freshly brewed tea, while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the tea plantations.
    Ramboda Falls
    Next, witness the breathtaking beauty of Ramboda Falls, a 109-meter-high cascading waterfall surrounded by dense forest.     Kandy Lake – Take a cool walk around Kandy Lake
    Kandy Lake, also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, is a beautiful artificial lake located in the heart of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Taking a leisurely walk around Kandy Lake is a popular activity for both tourists and locals alike.
  • Kandy Royal Botanical Garden
    The tour of the famous city of Kandy starts off with the Royal Botanical Gardens, which is located in the peaceful suburbs of Peradeniya. Spread over 147 acres this beautiful garden is home to 4000 species of plants which includes orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees which are spread all over the whole garden. The first destination will certainly give you a wonderful experience as to what Kandy has to offer!
    Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue
    Sri Lanka is a prominent country for its buddhist culture, among many other cultures hence to give you a proper experience of the culture, we will head to the Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha statue. This statue is located in the heart of Kandy, overlooking the vibrant city. One of the tallest statues of Buddha in the Island, this statue showcases Lord Buddha in a seated meditative posture. You will be able to climb to the top of the statue via a staircase, and also catch a glimpse of the wonderful skyline of Kandy.
    Temple of the Tooth Relic
    The Temple of the Tooth, named after the only surviving relic of Buddha is one of the main landmarks within the city of Kandy. The Temple stands next to the Kandy lake in a calm and picturesque manner and is renowned as a sacred location in the heart of Kandy. Daily ritual worship services are conducted by Monks in the inner chamber of the Temple of Tooth three times a day; at dawn, at noon and at sundown. On Wednesdays, a symbolic bathing of the Sacred Relic is held in the Temple of Tooth with an herbal preparation made from scented water and fragrant flowers, called Nanumura Mangallaya.
    Witness the colorful Kandyan Dance
    The Kandyan dance is one of the many colourful artworks which were originated within the country of Sri Lanka. Native to the City of Kandy also known as “Udarata”, Kandyan dancing consists of Ves dancers, who engage in the beautiful artistry of dancing in a unique manner, creating their own music through drums and other instruments. The choreography consists of many acrobatic moves which the dancers perform while staying true to their roots.
  • Dambulla Cave Temple
    Begin your adventure with a visit to Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple complex. The Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO-listed site, features over 150 Buddha statues and stunning murals dating back over 2,000 years. As you enter the temple, marvel at the intricately painted ceilings and serene Buddha statues carved into the cave walls. The peaceful ambiance and spiritual significance make this a must-visit landmark.
    Sigiriya Village Tour
    Step back in time and experience traditional Sri Lankan rural life. Travel through a scenic village by bullock cart, a mode of transport still used by locals. Then, hop on a catamaran boat for a relaxing ride across a beautiful lake, surrounded by lush paddy fields and wildlife.     Sigirya Rock Fortress
    Climb one of the most iconic landmarks in Sri Lanka, the UNESCO-listed Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This 5th-century marvel, built by King Kashyapa, is often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. Ascend through the giant lion’s paws, marvel at the famous Sigiriya frescoes, and walk along the ancient mirror wall, where inscriptions from centuries past still remain.
